THE TEAM

Icarus, our dental practice, derives its name from the powerful image at the entrance representing the myth of the Greek hero Icarus. Trapped in the Labyrinth with his father, he creates wings with feathers and wax to escape. However, he must be cautious: flying too low, his wings get wet, flying too high, they melt in the sun. The story symbolizes our ambition and foresight for the future, while staying firmly grounded in reality. A golden mean! Founded by Dr. LC Peeters, Maxillofacial Surgeon, and led since 2007 by Dentist Paule Peeters, Icarus has further grown since 2023 with the involvement of Pieter-Jan Swerts.

ACCESSIBILITY

Dental Practice Icarus is located in Antwerp on the left bank of the Schelde opposite the marina. This quiet and green location is easily accessible with parking always available in front of our entrance.

Should there be waiting time upon arrival, the practice has a pleasant waiting room where you can relax.

From Brussels (E19 — A12)
Drive through the Kennedytunnel towards Gent / Brugge. Take the first exit after the Kennedytunnel: exit Linkeroever. At the traffic lights: turn right onto Blancefloerlaan. Drive completely to the end. At the end, turn left onto Thonetlaan for +/- 1 km. Just past the entrance to the Marina (on the right) and the school ‘Sint-Annacollege-Goethestraat’ (on the left), turn left onto Goethestraat. Dental Practice Icarus is the second corner house on the right, just before the next crossing.
From Antwerp Centre (Waaslandtunnel)
Via Waaslandtunnel drive towards Linkeroever. Immediately after exiting the tunnel, and before the first lights, make a 180° turn right: you are now driving towards the Schelde. Drive completely to the end then turn left onto Thonetlaan. Just past the entrance to the Marina (on the right) and the school ‘Sint-Annacollege-Goethestraat’ (on the left), turn left onto Goethestraat. Dental Practice Icarus is the second corner house on the right, just before the next crossing.
From Ghent (E17)
Take the E17 towards Antwerp. Before the tunnel at the junction ‘Antwerp West’, keep left. Follow the signs ‘Rotterdam / Antwerp Ring 1 / Haven’. Merge onto E34 and take exit 7 ‘Sint-Anna Linkeroever’. You arrive at the ‘Expressweg’ towards Linkeroever, which you follow until the traffic lights. At the second traffic lights, turn left onto August Vermeylenlaan. Continue towards the end then turn right onto Esmoreitlaan and instantly turn left to cross over to the other side and turn left onto Gloriantlaan. Take the first right onto Thonetlaan and then the second right onto Goethestraat. Dental Practice Icarus is the second corner house on the right, just before the next crossing.

Dental Practice Icarus is about 1 km from the metro stop. Here you can also take a bike from VELO Antwerp. Turn left onto Thonetlaan. Just past the entrance to the Marina (on the right) and the school ‘Sint-Annacollege-Goethestraat’ (on the left), turn left onto Goethestraat. : About 15 minutes’ walk from the pedestrian tunnel. When you stand with your back towards the tunnel, turn right on Thonetlaan. Keep going straight for +- 1km and just past the entrance to the Marina (on the right) and the school ‘Sint-Annacollege-Goethestraat’ (on the left), turn left onto Goethestraat. Dental Practice Icarus is the second corner house on the right, just before the next crossing.
: At the metro stop ‘Frederick van Eeden’, take bus 36 towards St. Annastrand. Get off at the 4th stop ‘Farneseplein’. Cross the square into ‘Guiciardinistraat’ and turn left here. This street runs right at the end; then at the tennis courts follow the footpath to the left which leads to the Goethestraat. Turn right here. Dental Practice Icarus is the second corner house on the right, just before the next crossing.
: From the metro stop ‘Frederick van Eedenplein’ you can take a bike from VELO Antwerp; it’s only a 1 km bike ride away. Turn left onto Thonetlaan. Just past the entrance to the Marina (on the right) and the school ‘Sint-Annacollege-Goethestraat’ (on the left), you have station 140 — Marina LO from VELO Antwerp where you can station your bike.
