PERIODONTAL SURGERY
Periodontal ‑or Mucogingival surgery involves procedures aimed at treating gum problems to improve oral health and where needed to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the gums.
Soft tissue grafting
A soft tissue graft is performed when the gum tissue has receded, which can expose the tooth roots, cause sensitivity, and increase the risk of further damage. By using graft tissue, usually taken from the palate we restore the lost gum tissue, protect the tooth root, and improve the thickness and appearance of the gums.
Clinical Crown Lengthening
This procedure involves surgically reshaping the gums and, if necessary, the underlying bone around a tooth to expose more of the tooth surface. It is sometimes required for placing a crown or filling when a tooth is broken too far below the gumline. It can also be performed for esthetic reasons, such as correcting a “gummy smile.”
Each treatment is carefully tailored to your individual situation and always carried out with attention to comfort, precision, and optimal results.
